Mart-Matteus Kampus is an Estonian screenwriter and dramaturg based in Tallinn.
Kampus works across film, television and theatre in English and Estonian. He writes psychological thrillers and character-driven dramas, subverting genre tropes to surprise the audience.
His writing has been published in The Write Launch, NoiseMedium, Postimees, Teater. Muusika. Kino., Sirp, and Minor Literature[s]. From 2023 to 2025 he was a dramaturg at Paide Theatre. His screenplay Roots placed in the top 20% of the 2021 Academy Nicholl Fellowships and reached the second round of the 2022 BBC Studios Writers’ Academy.
Kampus holds an MFA from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and is a member of the Estonian Directors and Dramaturgs Union.
